Tofino offers beautiful, vast sandy beaches, ancient forests and calm inlets. It is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, and has a population of 2,516. Tofino is situated on Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation Traditional Territory. This area is part of the breathtaking expanse of the UNESCO Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Region which is cherished for its profound biodiversity.I was inspired to create Colours of Tofino, due to the beautiful coastline, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Activities you can do here include; rainforest hikes, whale watching and exploring the rugged coastline.
In this blog post I’ll be exploring the natural colours of Tofino from photos I’ve taken across two different trips. This is done by colour picking a ton of swatches from various photos and selecting ones which appear the most and will work well together. Once I have selected my favourite I narrow it down so they are a set of four. The colours of Tofino would change quite dramatically across the seasons. These selects in-particular were taken from photos in September.
